![]() ![]() The whole genome proteomic tree shows that vB_VhaP_PG11 phage is related to two Vibrio phages, Vibrio phage 1.238.A._10N.261.52.F10 and Vibrio phage 1.245.O._10N.261.54.C7, but with low homology. vB_VhaP_PG11 is a double-stranded DNA phage. In the study, a novel marine phage vB_VhaP_PG11, infecting Vibrio hangzhouensis, was isolated from the offshore waters of Qingdao, China. Vibrio is a kind of common gram-negative bacteria, which is widely distributed in marine and estuarine environments. 8Haide College, Ocean University of China, Qingdao, China.7Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, University of Tasmania, Hobart, TAS, Australia.6State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology, Marine Biotechnology Research Center, Shandong University, Qingdao, China.5Institute of Marine Biotechnology, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia.4UMT-OUC Joint Academic Centre for Marine Studies, Qingdao, China.3Institute of Evolution and Marine Biodiversity, Frontiers Science Center for Deep Ocean Multispheres and Earth System, Center for Ocean Carbon Neutrality, Ocean University of China, Qingdao, China.2College of Marine Life Sciences, Ocean University of China, Qingdao, China.1Department of Critical Care Medicine, The Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University, Qingdao University, Qingdao, China.Yajun Jing 1,2† Ruizhe Guo 2,3† Hongmin Wang 2,3† Yantao Liang 2,3,4* Yundan Liu 2,3 Yifei Feng 2 Qin Ma 2 Hongbing Shao 2,3,4 Yeong Yik Sung 4,5 Wen Jye Mok 4,5 Li Lian Wong 4,5 Yu-Zhong Zhang 2,6 Andrew McMinn 2,3,7 Min Wang 1,2,3,4,8* Jinyan Xing 1* ![]()
